500 fiber-optic drones for Ukrainian defenders
Help us purchase 500 fiber-optic drones manufactured in the Czech Republic by the SPARK association. Fiber-optic drones cannot be jammed, which is why this fundraiser is important not only for Ukraine, but also for innovation here at home.
For more than a year we have been cooperating with Lesya Kopčuk and her SPARK association, which develops and manufactures fiber-optic controlled drones in the Czech Republic. At the end of last spring, they produced the first such drone based on the requirements of the Ukrainian side. Since then, production has been significantly improved and accelerated.
Each manufactured unit undergoes thorough testing. Stability in hover, speed, climb rate, and endurance are tested, both without payload and with it. Near Prague, all necessary components are 3D-printed, control boards are assembled, fiber-optic cables are wound into spools, and batteries are completed. Newly, special motors are also being produced to order.
This generation of drones is controlled via fiber-optic cable. Thanks to this, they cannot be jammed by electronic warfare systems. At the same time, they feature high payload capacity and can reliably “deliver” up to several kilograms of explosives. They can also be used for reconnaissance — the fiber-optic cable transmits images from a high-quality camera at much higher quality than standard radio connections.
The SPARK association’s workshop is capable of producing dozens of these drones per week. All innovations and changes are consulted with the drone units for which these machines are intended.
What will be purchased?
The price of a single fiber-optic drone depends on the length and type of the fiber itself, the size of the drone (in inches), the electronics configuration, as well as individual technical requirements and specific requests of the units for which the drone is produced.
The number of drones we will be able to deliver to the front line for 620,000 EUR will therefore likely be higher than the promised 500 units.

The gift for Putin was initiated in 2022 as a project to support the defense of Ukraine. In 2023, we became an independent non-profit organization. Supporting Ukraine’s defense, we collaborated with the Embassy of Ukraine in Prague to send equipment worth over 1 billion CZK, and we will continue doing so until Ukraine is free and safe again.
How is this legal?
The Czech Republic (where our fund was established) is one of the few countries where it is not only legal, but explicitly supported by law, for non-profit organizations to raise funds for weapons and military supplies for the Ukrainian army.
How do I get confirmation of my donation?
Select any campaign and if you leave the “I need a donation receipt” option checked, a form will automatically appear where you can enter all the necessary information. Once you complete the payment, the confirmation will be sent to your email automatically. For card payments it’s immediate, for bank transfers it may take a few days.
What about the e‑shop?
From the e‑shop profit (about two thirds of the price) we will pay production, storage and distribution; part of the proceeds will be used to run the fund and the remainder will be invested in weapons for the Ukrainian army.
Will you really buy the exact thing I'm funding?
Yes, that is correct. When you contribute to a specific campaign—like Tomáš the Tank or the Viktor air defense system—your funds are used solely for that specific purpose. While we occasionally purchase equipment while fundraising is still ongoing, it typically happens once the campaign finishes.
The time between the campaign's conclusion and delivery to Ukraine can vary from days to months. The defense industry is complicated, but we keep everyone informed about the entire process on Twitter and through media outlets.
